Living FULL: 4 Ways to Bring a Little Joy into your Day.

This is for all of my go getter's out there and for all my fellow boss babes rocking on in pursuit of their dreams. This is for all of you ladies who always seem to be on the move, always packing up the season you're in and heading to the next adventure. This is for all of you out there who feel as if you are running so fast throughout life that you're sensing your tank becoming somewhat empty.

You love what you do. You love the chase, but somewhere in the middle of the running, you've grown tired. You've grown weary. Even us entrepreneur's find ourselves worn out from time to time. So, what do you do to refill? What do you do when you find yourself sitting on the side of the road with your light blinking EMPTY?

Just because you've hit a bump in the road on your journey certainly doesn't mean it's time to throw in the towel. Oh girl, stop it! You've come so far and have so much further to go. You've got this, but in order to keep moving forward, you've got walk FULL. You've got to walk in joy that comes from a place so much deeper than your current surroundings. Those will change. The road will get hard. And it's finding ways to bring joy to yourself in the midst of that hard that refills your tank to a beautiful and thriving FULL.

1. Pull a passion from the past and revive it!

What's one thing that you used to find such joy out of that now you seem to be too busy for? Did you enjoy running back in the day? What about painting or spending your time doing some other type of hobby? Spend some time thinking of one thing that you've grown too busy for and lay aside your to do's to do JUST THAT. Invest in you for a change, girl, and watch your heart grow full once more.

2. Take a Roadtrip!

I'm not talking a two hour there and back road trip. I'm talking a weekend at LEAST Google places somewhat close by to where you live now, places that you've never ventured into before, grab a few friends and hit the road. There's seriously something about the windows down, that breeze blowing in your face and nothing but you and the destination in front of you to really refill your soul and bring some much needed rest.

I know, I know. In the world we live in, that seems impossible right? I mean come one, if you don't post about it, did it really even happen? Yeah, I get it. But I also know just how impacting it is to a weary heart when you choose to unplug for just a few hours or so. The calls and text messages and facebook replys can wait for a few minutes if it means resting your mind mentally. This is so overlooked in today's generation - YOU NEED MENTAL BREAKS and if you're constantly turning your wheels day in and day out without taking 5 minutes to NOT stare at a screen, then girl, I hate to break it to you, but you're going to be left drained. Find some time. Unplug. And Rest.

4. Put something on your agenda that has no business motive at the end.

If you're like me at all, you can't help but spend alot of your time thinking on different ways you could market your business. I am always looking for new connections and new opportunties to spread out and grow, and so most of to do's on my agenda are centered around that end goal. But, what if I purposely threw a coffee date on there with a friend for the simple beauty of getting to unwind for an hour, lay work aside for just a few minutes and sweetly enjoy some good conversation? We can't ALWAYS be work driven. At some point, if we don't allow ourselves to do things that are NOT associated with our boss babe mentality, then I'm afraid running on empty is going to be your new normal. I challenge you - rearrange your schedule a little bit this week and throw yourself a curve ball. You might just be shocked at how you walk away from that coffee date filled with such a sweet joy that wasn't there before.

Here's to doing things a little differently this week in the pursuit of a little more joy added to our day.

It's not just a's a process!
